During a recent visit to Finland my family introduced me to Nordic Walking.  It was an invigorating experience!  Nordic walking is a combination of cross country skiing and fitness walking using poles made of composite similar to skiing poles. Nordic Walking began in Finland as a training exercise for cross country skiers and has recently taken off as a Europe wide exercise regimen.  
After my experience I returned to the US with an new product idea for FinnAm.  With some market reseach, FinnAm learned that imposter versions where already in the works being made in China and FinnAm wanted to bring a high quality Finnish Nordic Walking Poles to the US before this ruined the sport.  The search was on.  I met Tapp Rinne, a native Finn, through FinnAm's vast contacts and with much discussion found that his product Nordic Composite Nordic Walking Poles was a perfect fit for the FinnAm product standards.  Nordic Composite poles are made in Finland and are considered in the top three brands of Nordic Walking Poles used in Finland.  
FinnAm has teamed up with Western Pole Company to bring Nordic Walking to the US and help with marketig the products.  FinnAm is proud to team up with this great company and we will strive to increase awareness of Nordic Walking across the US.
